Presentation Guidelines

The following information is available to assist you in preparation for your attendance at IHPBA 2018.

All submitting authors have been sent an email of acceptance containing the link to confirm their attendance at IHPBA 2018, it is essential that you complete this step to ensure that your abstract is detailed within the abstract book and congress programme. Confirmation of attendance must be received by 2 May 2018. If you have not received this link, please contact ihpba2018@abstractserver.com, detailing your name, abstract reference number and abstract title.

Oral Presentations

All oral presenters are requested to upload their presentation at the Speaker Support Centre (Secretariat 4) at least two hours prior to your scheduled presentation. Please view the links below for the guidelines for submitting your presentation file(s):

Talking Poster Presentations

E-Poster Presentations

The e-Poster upload programme will be available from 24 May 2018. Prior to that date you will receive an email containing the link for the e-Poster upload system and details of user name and password. Please note you will not receive the email unless you have confirmed your participation by 2 May 2018.

All e-posters must be uploaded before 15 August 2018. You will not be able to upload your ePoster onsite at the congress venue. Please note the deadline date of 15 August 2018.

Video and E-Video Presentations (from Abstract Submissions)

You are not required to submit your video again, the original video will be available at the designated time, within the Congress programme.

If you have a Video Presentation, it is essential you report to the Speaker Support Centre (Secretariat 4) at least two hours prior to your scheduled presentation to ensure all is in order with your video. Please bring a copy of your video as a backup.

A network-based presentation system will be employed, along with a congress-specific interface which will ensure perfect quality of all presentations.  All rooms are equipped with the necessary technical requirements and additional back-up systems.  Please note that under no circumstances will personal laptops be permitted therefore it is essential that you report to the Speaker Support Centre.

Speaker Support Centre

The Speaker Support Centre (SSC) is located in Secretariat 4.  The Speaker Support Centre will be open during the following hours with technicians available to assist you:

Monday 3rd September 17:00 – 20:00hrs
Tuesday 4th September 06:30 – 18:30hrs
Wednesday 5th September 06.30 – 18:30hrs
Thursday 6th September 06.30 – 17:30hrs
Friday 7th September 06.30 – 17:00hrs

Please note the following instructions:

  • It was a condition when submitting your abstract, that all accepted presenting authors must complete their registration by 2 May 2018. Please ensure you register by this date.
  • On your first presentation slide, you are required to disclose all financial interests within the past 12 months preceding this Congress. If you do not have a template click here to download a disclosure template for inclusion in your presentation.
  • If you have nothing to disclose, you still need to include a disclosure statement. Please include on your first slide “I, (insert name) DO NOT have a financial interest/arrangement or affiliation with one or more organisation which could be perceived as a real or apparent conflict of interest in the context of the subject of this presentation”.
  • You are not permitted to use Company logos in your presentation slides.
  • Only MS-PowerPoint (*.ppt and *.pptx) presentations with video formats will be accepted.
  • Presentations attached to e-mails cannot be processed.
  • Remember to bring your video files as separate files if you use PowerPoint 2007 or older!
